Welcome to Shawmekatz Siberian Kittens and Welcome to Shawmekatz Siberian Kittens and Cats, a conservation breeder of traditional, pedigreed Siberian cats and Siberian kittens located on beautiful Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
If you're searching for Siberian kittens in Massachusetts, Siberian cats in New England, or a trusted Siberian cat breeder near Boston, we're delighted you've found us. Our cattery is conveniently located on Cape Cod and proudly serves families throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Maine, and the greater New England region. At Shawmekatz, our mission is to preserve the traditional Siberian cat through ethical, responsible conservation breeding. We carefully select our breeding cats for outstanding health, loving temperaments, correct breed type, and genetic diversity, ensuring each kitten has the best possible start in life. Siberian cats are celebrated for their affectionate personalities, intelligence, playful nature, and remarkable beauty. Many families also seek out Siberians because they often produce lower levels of the Fel d 1 protein than many other breeds. While no cat is truly hypoallergenic, many people with mild to moderate cat allergies find they tolerate Siberian cats better than other breeds. As an established Massachusetts Siberian cat breeder, we proudly follow the Voluntary Codes of Ethics of both The International Cat Association (TICA) and The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA). Shawmekatz has been a registered cattery with both organizations since 2015, reflecting our ongoing commitment to responsible breeding, exceptional feline care, and preservation of this extraordinary natural breed. Our location on Cape Cod makes us an easy drive from Boston and throughout New England. We welcome families from across the Northeast and beyond who are looking for healthy, well-socialized, pedigreed Siberian kittens raised with love in a home environment. Whether you're looking for a cherished family companion, a lifelong friend, or simply want to learn more about the wonderful Siberian breed, we invite you to explore our website and discover what makes Shawmekatz Siberian Cats so special. We look forward to helping you find the perfect Siberian kitten to welcome into your home. Shawmekatz prides ourselves on breeding healthy, beautiful, Siberians that make wonderful family pets. I am dedicated to health testing all of my breeding cats by regular HCM ultrasound scans done by certified veterinary, cardiologists, and DNA testing through optimal selection. All of my kittens will go home with their parents, grandparents and sometimes great grandparents test results.
At Shawmekatz, we adhere to the high standards of the TICA and CFA Voluntary Code of Ethics. Shawmekatz was established and registered with both venues since 2015.
When I say that I am a conservation breeder, I want to see the Siberian breed stay the wonderful, wild looking Cat that they were meant to be and, not change them for any purpose of “fad” breeding.
All my breeding cats are imported from Europe, and or Russia. I do not, and will not have any cats that are American bred, other than the descendants of my original imports or, future imports from abroad in my program.
I feel this way about dogs as well, and own two working lines German Shepherds from vom Rheinland German Shepherds, bred by Pia Blackwell who, also dedicates her breeding program to the health and preservation of European standards.
I own a preservation breed Horse as well, a Lippitt Morgan. The Lippitt Morgan is old, breeding, lines of the original. Justin Morgan had a horse Morgan bloodlines.
All of these horses are carefully bred so as, not to lose the wonderful characteristics of the “Horse America made”.
All our kittens have a MINIMUM of their first 2 vaccinations giving them protection from the most common contagious illnesses. Shawmekatz kittens come with a limited, genetic health, guarantee per our contract. Copies of the parents(sometimes even grandparents and great grandparents) HCM ultrasound scan results to go home and every kitten package.
Shawmekatz breeding cats are all HCM Ultrasound scanned regularly for HCM A Certified Veterinary Cardiologist. Only cats that have negative results are used in the breeding program.
Our breeding cats are also DNA tested for PKD and PKD-1 as well as DNA tested through Optimal Selection. They are also, FeLV/FIV NEG, Worm, parasite and, Ringworm Free.

We do not test for FeLD levels and make no such claims for allergy free. The Siberian however works quite well for people with mild allergies and, with the understanding that they may still have to take allergy medications.
We are a small, home-based, closed cattery. All our cats live with us (underfoot and never in cages) as, treasured pets first and, breeding cats second.
In accordance to Massachusetts law, we do not allow visitors as this is considered foot traffic, and therefore would cause our homeowners insurance to be cancelled.
